Blind people take part in just about all sports. There are specially adapted sports such as goalball and beep baseball where the ball makes a sound, and there are many sports where blind people play a version of the mainstream sport. An example of adapting a sport to blind people is tandem cycling - it is not safe for a blind person to cycle solo, but many ride tandem with a sighted person at the front.
Examples of blind sports: chess, rifle shooting, scuba diving, mountain climbing, running, swimming, soccer. This shows the wide variety of sports open in some form to blind people.
